Sneak Peek!

I have been working away on the saffron dress, and I just wanted to give you all a sneak peek at my progress. I've left it hanging on my dress form for a few days since the skirt is cut on the bias. So, I just have the hem and some hand stitching on the drape around the neck and around the waist to do.

But, I'm quite excited about the dress! There were a couple of moments in the middle of the project where I thought it was headed for disaster, but I learned I just need to trust myself a little more. I also have some fabulous accessories to complete the look, which I'll show you when I complete the dress.

I got a little sick of hand stitching after I put the zipper in by hand, so I'm taking a hiatus for a couple of days on a couple of quick and easy knit projects. Since knits pack so well, I wanted to make up a couple of things to wear when I go to South Dakota next weekend for the wedding festivities. With any luck, one of those projects will be done tonight.
